We take great care in raising the kittens in a healthy environment, indoor only. Our dams and sire come from two lines: silver and golden. They regularly have annual health exams and vaccines, have been tested for FeLV/FIV/HWT (Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and Heartworm (HW) Test). They have proof from their vet that the results are negative. Each parent cat (Sire and Dames) went through genetic health screening done by Wisdom Panel DNA test prior to breeding (49 tests were done!) All are PDK (Polycystic kidney disease) clear. We will be happy to share parents’ Complete Genetic Report info and test results. Healthy parents - healthy kittens!
We feed all of our cats high quality holistic dry food and occasionally give adult cats raw cat food, dry freeze organ meet. We also give them some holistic wet/canned food daily, add probiotic for good gut health and immunity and appropriate supplements during pregnancies and nursing periods as well. We try our best to provide you with a sweet and beautiful, healthy and socialized unique Scottish Fold and Straight kitten for you to enjoy for years to come. Our Sire and Dames are registered at TICA (The International Cat Association) and CWF (World Cat Federation).
Note: The unique folding of a Scottish Fold's ears comes from a mutation in the cartilage. It's extremely important to understand that you cannot ever breed a fold to a fold because the double mutation can exacerbate to other parts of a fold's anatomy, affecting their overall structure and health. Therefore, our Sire/male is Scottish Fold while the Dames/female cats are Scottish Straight or British Shorthair. We strictly follow TICA breeding rules.
So, while some of us really want to own a fold with folded/curled ears, the straights are very important to have within a breeding program. They offer the same amazing breed personality characteristics as their folded siblings, the only difference that they have is straight and pointy ears.
